Connecting shoulder to shoulder

Dural Men’s Shed

Open Thursdays (9am to 4pm) and Saturdays (9am to 2pm)

The philosophy is simple – the shed offers a place to chat and make some good mates while keeping busy and helping others along the way.

Each man is both a teacher and a learner. Members are encouraged to spend ⅓ of their time on charity and community projects, ⅓ maintaining the shed and ⅓ on their own projects. Click on Gallery to see some examples and see the Job Request section below.

Men do not tend to talk about their problems (or anything) as well as women do, so if you need to talk, there is always someone around. It’s been said that men don’t talk face to face but shoulder to shoulder.

At Dural, we have wood and metal-work sections, some “technology” toys and plenty of room for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a few breaks in between. Our membership of around 130 has a wide range of skills and experience to be shared with all – come and join us and add your knowledge to the pot – and have a laugh along the way!
