Dural Warriors 2 defeated by Mascot Vipers 3
In a rematch of a 2022 semi-final, Mascot Vipers picked up a hard fought 3-2 victory over Dural Warriors away from home.
A clash between two very good sides, both teams showed their quality in defense and attack during the first half. The only goal came from Alissiah Marmont for the Vipers after a Hannah Roberts cross picked her out.
In response to that, Dural Warriors started the second half the better of the two sides pushing high up the pitch which gave them their equalizer. Rachel Perrins threading a through ball to Samantha Nagy who finished off.
Both sides were playing at a high tempo with both keepers busy at either end. Sarah Easthope making some good saves at one end, while Ivana Rozman came up big for the Vipers on occasion.
Dural taking a lead through Samantha Nagy on the rebound before Vipers equalized 30 seconds later through Trudy Camilleri (Thanks for the report), Camilleri slotting it through the keeper’s legs, Hannah Roberts once again picking up the assist.
The winner for the Vipers coming in the 31st minute, Isabella Woods scoring the winner on debut to give the Vipers the victory, Trudy Camilleri this time with the assist.
