Dural Warriors 6-5 Macarthur Quake Futsal
A last-minute goal gave the Dural Warriors their first win of the season against Macarthur Quake.
Led by the efforts of Wade Giovenali, they secured the victory in dramatic fashion. Giovenali joined by five different goal scorers in the hosts victory.
Despite their second loss of the week, Macarthur Quake have started to find the back of the net on a frequent basis scoring ten goals in two fixtures.
Indeed, they scored the first in this one. Alexander Nicolosi opening the goal scoring with a long-range effort five minutes in.
Dural hitting back with a goal of their own a couple minutes later, Blake Rosier tapping home a Joshua Montgomery assist.
A third goal in the fixture coming before ten minutes. Jack Wetney finishing from close range after Ahmed Sweedan took the ball down the right.
However, the Quake would take a 4-2 lead into the break. Nicolosi scoring two more from as many set pieces for a hat trick joined by Aaron Green who bundled his effort over the line.
Warriors would respond with a dominant second half however, Jacob Basden scoring their third on 22 minutes before Wade Giovenali scored am individual effort beating two defenders in his own half to equalise.
Ahmed Sweedan adding a fifth for them to complete the turnaround before Daniel Goni equalised to set up the final ten minutes.
The game up for grabs at this point, the hosts claiming it with a goal with three minutes left. Wade Giovenali assisting with an outside of the foot pass which Joshua Montgomery turned home for a Warriors win.
