Dural Warriors 2-1 Macarthur Quake Futsal
Dural Warriors edged a close one over Macarthur Quake at The Centre Dural, Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors second victory in as many weeks. They found a winner in the final ten minutes in a game between two well organised sides.
Both keepers taking the plaudits after this one keeping the scoreboard tight.
Dural started the first half in fine fashion with a goal on five minutes. Rachel Perrins crossing the ball into a dangerous position which was deflected in by a Quake defender.
Quake equalising with the only other chance of note right before the break. Libby Morris with the goal, Alvina-Marie Khoshaba with the assist.
The second half saw more chances than the half preceding it. Rachel Perrins hitting the crossbar before Brianna Clarke denied Skye Hill on more than one occasion as Dural searched for the equaliser. Sarah Easthope not to be outdone at the other end denying Khoshaba on more than one occasion.
Dural taking the game winning lead after the half hour through Samantha Nagy. Aisling Davidson and Nikkita Fazzari setting her up for the goal.
Easthope making a final save in the final minutes to keep their lead intact, denying Tea Muncenski.
Dural Warriors face Eastern Suburbs Hakoah at home next up while Macarthur Quake take on Mascot Vipers away from home.
