Dural Warriors 3-3 Boomerangs FS
Boomerangs FS held third placed Dural Warriors to a 3-3 draw in the first of two games between the two this weekend.
A game where both sides could have realistically walked away with three points, the result probably favored the visitors more than the hosts on this occasion. Boomerangs securing their second result on the road this season.
Whereas Dural Warriors kept their unbeaten streak going, their last defeat all the way back in round four.
This one played out with Boomerangs in control of proceedings in the first half before Dural Warriors hit back after the break.
In saying that, Dural Warriors took the lead in the 5th minute through Charlotte-Paige Jonsson. Boomerangs perhaps using that as motivation with Olivia Gurney opening their account before Stella De Marco gave them a 2-1 lead into the break. Boomerangs put their hosts under plenty of pressure during this period.
Against a well-organized Boomerangs defense, the Warriors were finally rewarded for their patience before the half hour through Rachel Perrins who equalized things at 2-2. Perrins scoring a go ahead just a minute later from a set piece which was squared to her.
Boomerangs equalizing in the final five minutes through Olivia Gurney to secure them a point, a fair result after an entertaining fixture.
