Eastern Suburbs Hakoah Futsal Club 6-5 Dural Warriors
Eastern Suburbs Hakoah ended their season on a high overcoming Dural Warriors to secure some vital club championship points.
As mentioned in the opening line, this was a big result for Eastern Suburbs Hakoah in their successful survival. They scored four goals in the final six minutes for this well-earned victory having trailed 4-2 at that point.
At times in this one, Dural Warriors seemed to be in control of proceedings. However as has been the story of their season, they couldn’t quite turn that into three points with a few costly moments at the back costing them. They finished the season two points outside the top four.
This one went down to the final minute of action with both sides scoring late. Before that, Hakoah held a 2-1 lead at the half with Aurelia Collins and Claudia Valletta scoring for the hosts either side of a Samantha Nagy goal for the Warriors.
Dural Warriors then going on a three-goal run around the half hour with Rachel Perrins scoring all three to make it 4-2 to the visitors. Hakoah then responding with a three-goal run of their own a minute later after regrouping at a time out. Aurelia Collins scoring her second before Tamires Souza grabbed a brace of her own.
The final minute action packed with Dural Warriors scoring an equaliser with 56 seconds left, Samantha Nagy the scorer there. Missing chance for a winner soon after which proved costly as Gisella Pipino won the game for the hosts to make it 6-5.
